The Malware Analyst Sandbox is a web-based SaaS platform designed to democratise malware analysis for students and beginner security researchers. It provides a safe, isolated, semi automated environment where users can submit suspicious files or URLs and receive a comprehensive behavioural analysis report within minutes — all without needing expensive commercial tools or deep infrastructure expertise. Built on top of a proven low-resource sandbox implementation (VirtualBox or else) the platform wraps manual analysis workflows in a modern full-stack web application, adding a job queue, structured reporting, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, and IOC extraction. The MVP targets a single-host deployment that can be spun up on commodity hardware, making it practical for academic lab environments, personal learning setups, or small research teams.
